Some Important Tips
1. Generally , it is advisable to attempt more questions from Physical Anthropology. But your answers should not be purely biology based. it should have even socio-cultural dimensions.
2.Provide more examples . While writing case studies, be specific by mentioning the Anthropologist and also the book/source.
3.Schematic representation and diagrams carry more marks.
4. Ability to cross link topics fetch more marks.
5.Use concepts of Paper-1 in Paper-2 and vice-versa.

MISTAKES To be Avoided
Having studied Anthropology for 4 years, I expected to get 300+ score this year. But I didn’t. I believe the following are the reasons for below 300 score .

1. Doing Too much R & D : having developed interest in the subject, I would read from many sources and do R & D in Internet. Though it gave me a certain degree of satisfaction, it didn’t convert into scores. I’d advice aspirants to draw a line with respect to source material and not research a lot.
2. Bad Presentation : Though I made diagrams, I didn’t make flow charts, schematic representations. I concentrated more on textual content than on diagrams which led me to get average scores.
3. Non-Consolidated Notes : I kept on doing value addition without having a single book containing all the material. Though I could do revisions, I would recommend aspirants to consolidate their material.
4. Not Joining Test Series: In previous attempts, I had joined test series but had a lackadaisical approach . In the successful attempt , I didn’t even join test series which cost me with some marks.

All the Best
